Billy
Brumfield Shelter
The
Billy Brumfield Shelter serves as an emergency shelter for up
to 50 men per night. The shelter provides three services: it serves
as an emergency shelter for homeless men, as an alcohol and drug
rehabilitation program, and it provides room and board for disabled
men while helping them find permanent housing. The shelter provides
bus passes, a light breakfast, shower facilities, a bed and an
evening meal daily. A transitional work program is in place to
assist the men in saving money to move into an independent living
situation.
