Counseling
Stewpot
provides access to trained family counselors for all Stewpot programs.
These counselors help our community members deal with difficult
family issues as well as stress, depression, self-esteem and relationships.
Counselors facilitate group and individual counseling as well
as provide crisis intervention.

100 clients receive family counseling through Stewpot programs
each month.
- Trained
Family Counselor, Mrs. Ollie Carter, is the counselor on call
for the Stewpot community.
- Counselors
from Jackson Mental Health work with community members during
and proceeding the lunch hour.
- Counselors
from the Mississippi State Hospital are frequently consulted
in crisis situations.
Volunteering
If
you are a licensed counselor and are interested in volunteering
some hours at Stewpot, we invite you to become a part of this
vital ministry.
