Meals on Wheels

On weekdays, Stewpot's neighborhood volunteers deliver lunches to over 50 elderly, ill and disabled people who cannot get themselves to Stewpot for the noon meal. Often, this is the only human contact our Meals on Wheels recipients enjoy.

Facts

  • The Meals on Wheels program was started by two community members who knew there were needy people in the neighborhoods surrounding Stewpot who were physically unable to come to Stewpot for the noon meal.
  • This program is still run by the two men who birthed it, Mr. John Lewis and Mr. Robert Downs.

Volunteering

Volunteers work in teams to deliver the meals to members of the community. If you are interested in participating in this ministry of love, contact Heather Logan at hlogan@stewpot.org or 601.353.2759.
