Stewpot’s afterschool program provides homework assistance, specialized tutoring, enrichment opportunities, and more for at-risk youth in our community.
Billy Brumfield Men’s Shelter
The Billy Brumfield House provides emergency shelter for men 18 and older seeking a safe, warm place to sleep. We also offer a Transitional Housing/Sober-Living Program and a Short-Term Medical Recovery Program.
Clothing Closet
The Clothing Closet provides quality clothing for all who come to Stewpot. The Clothing Closet is stocked with clothing donated from residents of the Jackson Metro area.
Community Kitchen
The Community Kitchen provides a noontime meal to anyone- no questions asked- seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Food Pantry
The Stewpot Food Pantry serves over 700 people a month. Each family is given a four-day supply of groceries to cover the entire household.
HeARTWorks
HeARTWorks offers artistic experiences in a loving and welcoming environment through weekly art classes.
Housing Assistance
The Housing Assistance Program provides housing relocation and stabilization services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Legal Clinic
Volunteer attorneys provide legal counsel free of charge through the Stewpot Legal Clinic, advising and providing referrals on family law, vital records, housing, expungements, disability, and financial matters.
Matt’s House
Matt's House provides shelter for homeless women and women with children who have no other place to go. Guests receive an evening meal and a light breakfast in addition to a safe place to sleep for the night.
Opportunity Center
The Opportunity Center Day Shelter is a “homebase for the homeless,” offering community resources such as laundry, mail services, and computer access.
Sister Trinita Community Health Clinic
In partnership with Stewpot, St. Dominic Health Services operates a Community Health Clinic providing primary care to low-income families and homeless individuals whose needs are not being met by mainstream healthcare.
Street Outreach
Our Outreach team meets people experiencing homelessness where they are, connecting them to resources like shelter, housing, addiction recovery programs, and health care as they express need.
Summer Recreational Camp
Stewpot provides a 7 week summer camp each year for children and teens in Kindergarten through ninth grade.
Transitional Shelter
Stewpot offers a transitional shelter for individuals and families that are actively seeking permanent housing and employment.
